I get out of my car, hauling my overnight bag (okay bags) and my computer bag (this being the result of basically living at my boyfriend's house). I get ready to make the ascent up my steep and treacherous stairs when I realize I haven't gotten the mail in like, 2 weeks.
Still carrying my load, I head around the house to the front porch, ascend those stairs (unlike the ones to my apartment, these stairs are short and sweet) and open my mailbox...
Oh joy, I have mail...not just mail, magazines! Tons and tons of magazines.
Most of the magazines I get, can be easily accessed online, but there is something about holding those glossy pages in my hands and bending back the corners of those pages I want to read or that contain projects I hope someday to complete.
Oh the delight they bring.
ReadyMade is great for DIY projects and yummy, inexpensive, simple recipes.
I'm not super crazy about Rolling Stone anymore, I mainly read it for Matt Taibi's political articles and the rare occasion they profile good musicians (or Johnny Depp!!)
Newsweek is a great magazine for current events. I really feel I get unbiased news from this magazine (one of the few places you can still find that!)
Another great DIY magazine full of projects. Not quite as good as ReadyMade, but still worth it.
